It had its own sugar mill to ensure its supply of local sugar cane. Caroni, a legendary Trinidad distillery closed in 2002 by decision of the Trinidadian government, left behind legendary heavy and tarry rums. Rum Nation (Rossi & Rossi) has produced a refined selection here, bottled at brut de reduction to preserve the power
