The sculpture is Anayama's expression of the spirit of resilience and perseverance. This piece is fired without a kiln, using branches and wood gathered from the mountains and burned in an open field. The black and gray hues are not artificially applied but are natural marks left by the ash and soot from the burning wood. Open fire firing is an
