Her ceramics style is influenced by various eras of Japanese pottery, and also by her Grandmother an accomplished potter back in Japan. Experimentation and innovation are key to Akikos practice and no two pieces are ever the same. Using a variety of styles and materials, Akiko is able to create a new contemporary aesthetic.
