The original Florida Fair Winds and Following Seas was painted on a nautical chart of the Straits of Florida showing the southern tip of Florida

I painted this at the same time I painted the "Arizona Moonlight Saguaros" If you look at them both you'll see the similarity in the color palette

It is embellished with a raised silver metal bead where the water meets the sky

each piece will have subtle differences

The acid oxidized copper paints that I used for the clouds gives it sleepy quality especially with the full moon peeking through, and the rusted earth makes it feel solid and immovable. This reproduction has the raised silver embellishment on the mountain peaks as well as the foothills. The metal is sealed and then antiqued with tar. The entire piece then is sealed with UV
