Antique Set of Small Seto Ware Japanese Plates, Edo Period chawan Each tanmono is between 12-15A set of ten antique Japanese miniature ceramic plates from Seto or Mino kiln regions, dating back to the late Edo period. Measuring 7cm wide, these pieces feature a yellowish cream ash glaze with a heavy, natural crackle texture. The small bare clay patches are kiln scars, a result of the plates being stacked directly on top of each other during firing.
