Brooklyn Antique advertisement for hunting and workshop ear protection. This sign advertises Elliott Protectors, a very early ear protection device, designed and manufactured by James Albert Riley Elliott. Elliott was a former employee of Winchester and close friend of John Philip Sousa (yes, that one) who complained to him about the effect gunfire was having on his hearing,
