Meg experiences beading as an act of cultural reclamation and to heal generationally. The name of her jewelry line, Nelie G. Mae, was created by making an anagram of her first and middle names. She views her beadwork as wearable art and hopes each piece can support the empowerment of expression in each wearer. Meg is primarily self taught in her
