It is not clear if Ane stitched the sampler in 1810 or if she is letting us know it was her birth year. Her sampler lives at the Cleveland Museum of Art. I was not as daring as Ane with my fabric choice as it is difficult to see the actual red fabric when shopping online. Finding one that was not too orange and not too berry was not happening. I
