The Fifth of July is a theme I've been working for several years

Never before had I encountered so many different bird feathers in a single day

as the place to find smoothed-over pieces of petrified black coal

I had them in mind when I put together this design

These Arms of Mine Size:Small (8 x 8 in) gamblers rolling diceUntil recently, when I went through the case of sunglasses I keep in my storage room, I hadn't realized that I had so many broken pieces, many of which were from really cool sunglasses. I knew they'd come in handy, eventually, and this was my first attempt to gather them together and make something beautiful.
