It was preserved very well and in the restoration process we took great lengths to not affect the current patina of the outside nickel and the inside black iron

prior to when holes were added to handles in more modern patterns

However it will not affect oven roasting in the least

Unique! 1930's Griswold #6 Duo-Chrome Skillet with Large Block Logo and Smooth Bottom 699 C wagner ware sidney Perfect for cooking baconThis beautiful Vintage Griswold Large Block smooth bottom #6 skillet, was originally made with a duo chrome plated finish. It moves on glass so it is useable on all tops but best for gas or electric coil stoves. The exterior had a plated look to it, while the interior surface was black iron. We restored this and seasoned it, giving it a deep, gorgeous bronze look. Made by hand in the 1930's, we fully strip and restored it back to almost new with cast
