My mother was an artist and an antiques dealer. From watching my mother restore crumbling antiques, I learned early on that mystery lies deep within everything; you just need to unearth it. My mother painted large floral murals on our bedroom walls, the vines creeping along our doors like veins beneath skin. As a child, I didnt realize that
