Blue Notes mines the aesthetic of the inimitable Blue Note Records and pays tribute to the jazz artists who graced their releases. From Eric Dolphy to Madlib (performing at this years Montreal Jazzfest) to Thelonious Monk, the collages represent the searching music played by these artists as they pushed the meaning of sound in new directions.
