Newfoundland SG 148 1921 cover from St John's to Halifax with 35c red airmail digital-edition with a very low survival1921 (NOV 23) cover (embossed General Post Office logo in blue in upper left corner) from St John's to Philadelphia, USA (typed address), franked by 1921 35c red with type 72 opt (2mm space between 'AIR' and 'MAIL'), tied by machine cancel. The flight from Botwood did not take off until 10th December and was eventually abandoned, with the mail forwarded by train. Halifax arrival backstamp of 'FEB 4 1922' as usual. Far above average condition.
