Finished with off-white floss silk pompoms and silk ribbon edging these slippers were probably made for a wedding or similar ceremony

made using 18th century silk brocade which is brocaded with gilt thread work

The costume is in good antique condition

There is some surface wear to the hand woven silk brocade but there are no spilts
